Adventures in the West Village w/ My Twin Soul Sahra

Sahra Nguyen is the premiere* badass Vietnamese girl. She is a painter, writer, arts activist, educator, graphic designer, my twin soul, and oddly enough, we kind of live parallel lives. No seriously. One day, we were on the phone, and she asked what I was doing in the next few weeks, and I said, “Oh, I’m getting flown out to California to do some college workshops”. Squealing with delight, she replies, “OMG Rubes!! Guess what I did last week?? I was flown out to California to do some college workshops!!” Well of course she was. Birds of a feather flock together, you know.

Imagine my excitement when she came down from her home city of Boston to romp around Manhattan with me! Over French brunch, we entertained conversations on how exciting our lives have become, our plans to lead a movement (with style), being lucrative writers, representing to make our sistas proud, and of course, Obama. Love her.  So should you. Yadadaimen, Yadadaimsayin.
