9/10/09- Fashion’s Night Out: SoHo!
Fashion’s Night out was so much fun. I spent it in SoHo, and stopped in to enjoy the festivities at the Aveda Academy, Chanel, Billionaire Boys Club, the MAC store, and well, Opening Ceremony- kind of. (It was a tough line, dang!)
I couldn’t miss that notoriously gloriously primped pompadour from the store window as I walked down Spring Street, and took 3 steps back to realize I was right: Janelle Monae was in the Mac Store! She’s been my favorite artist for quite a long time now, so of course I wanted to drop in. She’s a sweetheart, and she was signing away some precious vinyl of her first release, Metropolis.
Some champagne sipping, Ice Cream eating, and plenty of strutting- my girls are the best! Fashion Week has treated me well indeed…
