Filipina Women’s Network Summit in October
Thanks to one of my bestest friends and PR Manager, Paloma Belara, I was informed of the Filipina Women’s Network, who is holding a national summit in the Bay Area this October! Most of us in the younger Pinay generation might not know of this organization, so I thought I would share. Now that I’m taking my career much more seriously, as well as being in a better place and age to do so, I’m looking for mentorship to guide me. I think I found just the place.
As I’m working to claim a space in the media landscape, I am doing so with community empowerment and accountability in mind. Thus, I’m seeking positive mentorship from experienced leaders, and open to receiving advice from those who have paved the way.
I am also grateful for the Filipina Women’s Network for approving my nomination (eternal thanks to Paloma once again) for 100 Most Influential Filipinas in the U.S. for 2009 Award, winners to be announced at the October Summit. Thank you Paloma!!
