YOOOO…so I’m hella hella excited, because this weekend, I’m gonna get to swim around a sea of brown and join my people for the Filipino Day Parade festivities this weekend! Heyyyyyyy. This is particularly exciting for me, since I barely see any Filipinos (or Filos, as my pal Cj Borja likes to call it) out here in NY, and coming from the West Coast, that’s quite an adjustment. Man, I’m about to speak strictly tagalog for one whole day just so I can soak it all in. Haha.
Parade is on Madison Avenue from 40th to 27th Streets- someone correct me if I’m wrong, yeah. More info on Cj’s Ethnik Roots blog, check here.
In light of all the festivities, Pnoy Apparel is putting on a benefit showcase that I’ll be hosting, and I’ll be joined by fellow Filo artists from the West to the East, so come out and see how my people do!
