My very first couture, made by Tiph of Homeygrown Designs (see post below). I told you she was talented!! I was incredibly surprised (and blessed!) to have Tiph offer to make my dress for the biggest occasion of my life ever (the cotillion I never had, as I liked to dub it), the Miss Universe book release party. I am absolutely in LOVE with this dress. I am so happy this is a part of my life. Oh dear.

Inspired by the stunning blue dress (the first outfit) in Solange’s video Sandcastle Disco, Tiph brilliantly took an old long 80′s purple bridesmaid dress (that she found by complete fate at a thrift store, mind you) into this glorious piece of wearable violet wonderful-ness that I will forever cherish in my heart. Sigh.
Oh, and by the way, I have a the dopest publicist ever. My papalove, giving the world the lowdown on the daily. She’s good at the work she does! I’m a lucky gal!
