momentous.

My goodness. I can’t believe it. It’s here. The book is finally, actually here. With real pages and everything! I’m flipping through the pages of a book I made. I’m in disbelief. I even propped my book in between Sonia Sanchez and Bell Hooks on my book shelf just to see what it would look like.

Its pretty freaking sweet.

I’m overwhelmed with a sense of accomplishment, joy, and the liberating feeling of letting go. All these years of documented emotion and experience is now deemed art, blown to the wind, now let go of…

I’ve never felt so proud in my life*. To everyone who has been following my blog, my work, my poetry…thank you. You are just as part of this process- I thank you for being with me and shining your light. I’m blessed to be around such an amazing circle of beautiful people. Couldn’t have done this without you.

*Except for that one time I beat Sammy Hi-Life in a streak of ro-shambo matches, that is.
