what a gorgeous day in oakland
Yesterday was the 7th Annual Living Word Festival, and my oh my, Oakland was out and looking beautiful as usual. Held at De Fremery Park, the historical West Oakland landmark where the Panthers organized and gathered, Oakland continued the movement and packed the space with much, much love. When Oakland is out, brace yourself, cause it is breathtakingly gorgeous!
Man, I love being home.
iLL-Lit did a short lil’ set in between Mos Def and Goapele, and we could still feel the stage on fire! Thank you Oakland for the love! Unfortunately, my forgetful photo tendencies and dying camera batteries hindered me from taking photos from the event, but I did manage to take one picture.
At least it was a good one! (Sigh. Always the only gal.)
