G.P.S. Radar: Jeannie Mai

So last week, I had the great honor of being keynote speaker for a conference called “Empowered!”, put on by Asian American Recovery Services for APIA young women. Besides it being such an amazing experience to speak to hundreds of girls who I swear, all felt like my younger sisters, I also got a chance to connect with an incredible lady by the name of Jeannie Mai.

Jeannie not only has this amazing, genuine, positive energy about her, but she’s a beautiful sis who’s representing in the television worlds, hosting shows on USA network and Lifetime! Since G.P.S. is all about shining a spotlight on dope women of color doing their thing, of course, I had to shout Jeannie out too.

Entering the industry as a makeup artist, she’s given her glam touch to artists such as Alicia Keys and Lil’ Kim, becoming so well-versed in the beauty scene that she then went on to become a trend reporter for radio, magazine, and television programs. She’s graced the camera hosting segments for E! and Style Networks, WB’s “Daily Mixx”, and MTV. Now you can find her on USA networks giving ordinary people an extraordinary makeover on her show, “Character Fantasy”. See, look!
